Crop the Top
Using Lazyest Gallery, you would have noticed that the cropping function did not always return desirable thumbnails on portrait oriented images. Most pictures displayed people with their heads 'cut off'.
Fixing duplicate title tags
Have you read the post about canonical links today? Please add the code to your theme's functions.php to have your gallery better indexed at Google and Bing. Mind, the canonical code is not included in the core of Lazyest Gallery because of possible conflicts with SEO plugins.
If you use these canonical links, you have to update to Lazyest Gallery 1.0.42 1.0.43. This version includes paged galleries in the titles.
Descriptions in thumbnail view
One thing we have forgotten in Lazyest Gallery version 1.0, is the option to display folder and image descriptions in thumbnail view. This has been enabled in version 1.0.2.
Permalinks could not be activated for Lazyest Gallery when wordpress is installed in a subdirectory. A bug in the rewrite rules caused 404 - page not found errors. This bug has been fixed.
Download version 1.0.2 from the WordPress plugin directory or use the plugin update function in your blog Admin.
version 0.15.0 is here!
Lazyest Gallery 0.15.0 is available for download from the WordPress Plugin Directory.
Save the new features and bugfixes, the ids and classes for the Gallery have changed. Please check your stylesheets if you have added styling to the gallery
WP Super Cache incompatibility
The plugins WP Super Cache and Lazyest Gallery are not fully compatible.
After you turn on fancy permalinks, the thumbnailviews, slides and images are not displayed anymore on some browsers (see comments on Gallery).
A quick workaround is to add your gallery to the list of Rejected URIs in the WP Super Cache Manager.
I will work on a new permalink structure for Lazyest Gallery 0.11.0.
