Installation

Lazyest Gallery is a gallery plugin for WordPress. Because it creates thumbnails and slides on the fly, it is a good plugin to manage images that you have uploaded outside of WordPress e.g. by FTP.

Step 1: Install Lazyest Gallery using the WordPress Installer

In the Admin menu, select Plugins → Add New. Enter 'Lazyest Gallery' in the search bar and hit the 'Search Plugins' button. In the results page, click on 'Install' on the far right of the row titled 'Lazyest Gallery'. In the next page, click on the red Install Now link. After that, activate the plugin.

Step 2: Enter Lazyest Gallery Main Gallery Options

Goto Settings → Lazyest Gallery. You will see the Lazyest Gallery welcome screen. the Lazyest Gallery welcome screen  Here you can enter the basic information for Lazyest Gallery.  In the 'Your Gallery Folder' input box, you enter the Lazyest Gallery directory, relative to the path where you've installed WordPress. This is the directory in which you later make the folders for your images. You don’t store your images in this folder itself. If your directory doesn't exist yet, Lazyest Gallery can create one for you.

Next, select the page where you want to display your gallery. If you don't have that page yet, you can create one and come back to the Lazyest Galerry welcome screen later. Lazyest Gallery checks if the gallery shortcode on your page. If not, lazyest Gallery can insert one for you.

Please be aware that Lazyest Gallery cannot work when you have this page as static page on your blog's Front Page. You can have other gallery pages as your front page, but the page you have selected in settings should be a 'normal' page.

Hit the 'Save Changes' button and Lazyest Gallery is ready to go.

Step 3: Upload your first batch of pictures

After you have entered the main Lazyest Gallery Settings, the Lazyest Gallery menu will appear at the bottom right corner of your Admin screen. Click on "Lazyest Gallery" the go to the Edit Lazyest Gallery Structure screen. If necessary, create your first album folder in the New Folder input field. When the folder is created, click on the folder name to open the Edit Lazyest Gallery Folder screen. Upload your images with the uploader.
Lazyest Gallery indexes your images automatically, so you may very well use FTP or other programs to upload (many) images for your first album.

Done! You have finished the installation of Lazyest Gallery. Your gallery is ready and visitors of your blog can enjoy your pictures.

What lightbox plugin should I install? I get the message that ‘no supported lightbox plugin is installed’.

    Great plugin thanks

Any lightbox plugin that does not automatically update the image links will do. LG does not recognize all lightbox plugins.

    nice gallery…
if to add uploading images by subscribers in some categories/folders (and then this images wait for admin ‘approve’), hide coments to folders, and make some markers to images (date, author, categorie/folder), it will be the best one i have seen…
