    I had this issue come up, not sure if it’s been resolved or not yet….

    I’m using the random slideshow on a sidebar, and I use the lightbox 2 plugin to view images after I click on thumbnails. However, the lightbox window, conflicts with the sidebar slideshow. Is there a way to correct this, so the slideshow image stays behind the lightbox window?

      in lazyest-style.css find
      .lg_slideshow a.show {
      z-index:500
      }

      and lower the number after z-index e.g. to 50

    I notice now, that the image size of the random slideshow on the sidebar is the same as the thumbnail in the gallery options… Is there a way to change the size only in the sidebar slideshow, but not in the gallery thumbnails?

    how did make it so you have squared thumbnails? Did you have to set that up manually? or is there a way to have it create those thumbnails automatically?

      check “Enable thumbnail cropping” in Lazyest Gallery settings

        Ok… I did that, then cleared the cache thru the gallery options and also thru the browser options, and I had broken thumbnails after that… so thought maybe the thumbnails haven’t been created, so I click on the button that says create missing thumbnails at the bottom, and it went to a white screen, after about 10 minutes…. it still hasn’t responded. Would it be taking this long to create the thumbs… I have about 200 images in my gallery? What do you think?

          Hi Misa,
          It should definitely not be taking that much time to create the thumbs.
          What is the size you have set for your thumbs?

            Thanks so much… that fix it… I had an inconsistent number before… as soon as I changed it to 100 x 100, it fixed… thanks again for a great plugin, the best gallery plugin out there!

    Hello, on my main gallery page where folders are listed I’m not getting random images but the folder icon instead. I have already enabled the “Random image from folder” option in Settings. I’m also not getting the image count, I get the word “folder” underneath all folders. Same problem on the second level of subfolders. I only get folders with the ramdom images as icons and the image count correctly for each folder at the third level. The problem is really on my first two levels, including the main Gallery page. How can I fix this? Any ideas? Thank you! This is a fantastic plugin!

      Random images from subfolders are supprted as of version 0.16.0. If you want, you could install the beta version from http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/lazyest-gallery/download/

        Hi Marcel, excellent, I’ve upgraded to version 0.16.0 and I now have random images from subfolders. The problem now is that I don’t seem to be able to navigate from any main folder to subfolders. When I click on a folder, I get redirected back to the main gallery page and not to the page with subfolders. HELP!!

        thanks!

      k2 uses a diferent apparoach to comments. I’m not planning to support k2 in Lazyest Gallery.

    Hey, I would like to know how to add a simple function to the script.
    When in the slide/image view I would like to set an alt/title text to be shown when hovering over the slide, just something to say “Click here to view original size image” or something similar, where can I add the alt and title tag for the slide? Like in the popup view where it says “Click to close” on hover-over.
    Thanks.

    Hi there
    I love your plugin but I have a question and I have tried everything to get it to work – but no joy

    I have 5 main folders in my lazyest gallery and I would like to split these 5 folders across 5 pages

    How do I do this
    I have tried using the [lg_folder folder "foldername"] and every other possible combination of syntax

    nothing i can do seems to let me show just one folder

    can i ask you to explain how i set a page up to show just one folder from the lazyest gallery – as i am pulling my hair out and there does not seem to be a clear outline of what to do

    thanks in advance

      Hi again
      OK – i have examined the problem and things have changed – your suggestions on the code do work. I had a folder name with a space in it – and typing the name in as it appeared created the problem – took the space out – and it worked

      Ok – new problem
      I have at root level in my lazyest gallery 5 folders
      How can I have one page that shows 2 of these folders with tha thumbnail for each folder, and a seperate page with the other 3 folders presented.

      Is this possible – or when you ask the gallery to list its contents are you stuck with seeing everything??

      thanks

    Hey, Great plugin.

    I have a question though. How do I get the gallery to start with a list of folders, on my site it ends up starting with 1 icon for the folder which you then have to click to get the display you have at the top of this page. Is it a special command?

      Yes try the [lg_folder folder=""] shortcode

        Hmm if I use the folder short code it seems to display nothing, it knows lg is there because I get the footer when signed in but no pictures/icons, “folder gallery” works fine when I specify a subfoler i.e “examples/specific” but on the top level just “examples” I get nothing.

    Fantastic and straightforward plug-in, because it meshes so well with the simple act of uploading hundreds of images, already sorted into folders, by `FTP`.

    In IE6(!), the slide show widget will float over the text of the main section when the window is narrow.

      I meant to say, when the window is wide – and IE6 users are likely to have narrower screens.

      Is anybody still using IE6?? ;-) (kidding)
      I have no fix for it yet, most positioning stuff is in the slide show javascript, which is a third party product and I haven’t had the time to look into the source code.

    just a little patience we’re almost there.
    comments per folder or per image will be possible in the next version.
    You can try a beta version. Read more about it on http://brimosoft.nl/2008/10/25/your-comments-please/

    I see that the same set of comments appear at the bottom of every picture. Is there a way to have a different group of comments for each photo or folder of photos? This would be a perfect plugin if there is a way to do this.

    Thanks!

    @Steven,
    Hm, Hard to find where to start looking in this Bloxpress theme. A lot of the logic is moved to javascript. You’d better ask the Bloxpress people how you activate coments on pages.
    Good luck.
