Somehow, the WordPress plugin directory does not include the subfolders “images” and “exifer” that are needed for the plugin to work properly. They have been uploaded though. You can download a complete package here.

I had to SVN a new version to the repository for WordPress to pick up the other directories. Version 0.10.2.1 is in fact 0.10.2

After publishing the new version on the web users found out that the plugin contained a lot of bugs.

Version 0.10.2 fixes errors in assessing the user level.
The built in admin user account didn’t report the right level. Admin couldn’t access the Lazyest-Gallery pages in wp-admin. Other user with administrator privileges didn’t run into troubles. current_user_can() replaces $user_level

Also the file date routine has been updated because it couldn’t handle files with spaces in the name.

I’ll keep on looking in the code for more things that do not work the way they should in version 2.5

After installing WordPress 2.5 on some of my family’s blogs, Lazyest Gallery stopprd working. Apparently the double bracket [gallery] does not work any more. It doesn’t show the gallery but just [].
I have created a workaround version. It uses {{gallery}} (edit: have changed this to [[lg-gallery]] ) for the gallery page.
After installing I had to change te code on the page, but ot seems to be working again. Look at http://tijmen.brinkkemper.com/mijn-fotoalbum/ for an example.
I have also made some changes to the administration pages. The main Lazyest Gallery Options page now resides under Settings. The File Manager is now a subpage under Manage

Download Lazyest Gallery 0.10 for WordPress 2.5

For some of my WordPress sites I am using the plugin for picture galleries called Lazyest Gallery.
Unfortunatley, the developers of Lazyest Gallery, keytwo.net, seem to have vanished.
Because I need some extra functionality, I have decided to spend some spare time to develop a new version of Lazyest Gallery myself.
First thing I’ll do, is to reshape the management pages a little. Next thing will, be adding the functionality to change the order of how folders and pictures are displayed. I hope to publish the my new version within a few months. I hope that it will be compatible for users that have installed the plugin of mamboat.
Current users can download the last stable version of Lazyest Gallery 0.9.5.1 here.
