After a few day of heavy testing, we cannot find bugs anymore. Release candidate 1 is now available for download at the WordPress Plugin Directory.
Save the features as described in my previous post, some significant changes have been made to Lazyest Gallery.

First of all, the Lazyest Gallery output was not always XHTML compliant. Because you can put galleries in more than one posts on your frontpage, the ID #gallery could not be a unique ID. The ID #gallery has been removed from the output. For styling purposes, a new class .lg_gallery has been added. Other IDs affected by this problem are: #top_navigator, changed to .top_navigator; #lazyest_navigator, changed  to .lazyest_navigator; and #pagination changed to .folder_pagination and .image_pagination.
If you have made chages to the styles of these elements, you should edit your stylesheet accordingly.

Secondly the ‘Loading…’ message in the slideshow did not get removed when you have more than one slideshow on your page. That has been solved. The caption and description box only shows when necessary.
